The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in a televised session at 9:14 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, Colleen Beaumier, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Bill Graham, Francine Lalonde, Diane Marleau, Pat O'Brien, Denis Paradis, Bernard Patry.

Acting Members present: Libby Davies for Svend Robinson.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Lee; John M. Wright.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives: Bruce Campbell, Executive Director. From the Canadian Council for International Cooperation: Gerry Barr, President and CEO. From the « Coalition pour la diversité culturelle »: Robert Pilon, Executive Vice-President.

At 9:26 a.m., Bill Graham took the Chair.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Summit of the Americas and the FTAA.

The witnesses each made statements and answered questions.

At 11:18 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
