The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:09 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Vice-chair, Bernard Patry, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Aileen Carroll, John Duncan, John Harvard, Marlene Jennings, Stan Keyes, Francine Lalonde, The Hon. Diane Marleau, Keith Martin, Pierre Paquette, Bernard Patry.
Acting Member present: Alexa McDonough for Svend Robinson.
Associate Member present: Irwin Cotler.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee, Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on North American Integration and Canada's Role in the Light of New Security Challenges (See Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, October 2, 2001).

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced consideration of the situation in Iraq (See Minutes of Proceedings, Tuesday, May 28, 2002).

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced consideration of issues relating to the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran (See Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, May 30, 2002).
The Vice-Minister made a statement and answered questions.
