The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in the Regal Ballroom of the Hotel Georgia, Vancouver, British Columbia, John Harvard, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: John Harvard, Keith Martin.
Acting Members present: Yves Rocheleau for Francine Lalonde.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gerald Schmitz, Research Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on North American Integration and Canada's Role in the Light of New Security Challenges and the study of the Agenda of the 2002 G8 Summit (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday, October 16, 2001, Meeting no. 31).
Richard Harris, Theodore Cohn, Lloyd Axworthy, John Atta-Mills, Rhonda Gossen and Michael Byers made statements and answered questions.
At 10:37 a.m., the Committee proceeded to sit in a video recorded session (CPAC-Vancouver and Fairchild Television).
At 12:10 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 1:33 p.m., the sitting resumed in a non-video recorded session.
Reg Whittaker, Stuart Farson, Peter Coombes, Kathryn Harrison, David Andersson, Greg Boos, Bill Grant, James E. Kohnke, Paul Daniell and Andrew Wynn-Williams made statements and answered questions.
At 5:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
