The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:12 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Vice-chair, Jean Augustine, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Jean Augustine, Aileen Carroll, John Duncan, Bill Graham, John Harvard, Diane Marleau, Pat O'Brien, Pierre Paquette, Bernard Patry, Svend Robinson.
Associate Members present: Deepak Obhrai, Mac Harb.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg, Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Council for International Cooperation: Gerry Barr, President and CEO. From the North-South Institute: Dr. Ann Weston, Vice-President. From the World Federalists of Canada: Fergus Watt, Executive Director.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its consideration of issues relating to the World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference in Doha, Qatar, November 9-13, 2001.
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 11:07 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
