The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Jean Augustine, Bill Graham, John Harvard, Francine Lalonde, Gary Lunn, Diane Marleau, Pat O'Brien, Bernard Patry.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Peter Berg.

Witnesses: From the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Marc Lortie, Senior Coordinator for Federal Provincial Relations, Personal Representative of the Prime Minister for the Summit of the Americas; Michael Brock, Director, Inter-American Division; Sylvie Bédard, Summit: Liaison Civil Society, Parliament, Parallel Events, Inter-American Division.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Summit of the Americas and the FTAA.

Mr. Lortie made a statement and, along with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
