NEWS RELEASE
OTTAWA – December 4, 2001 – The House of Commons Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development will commence its study of Bill C-19, An Act to amend the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, on December 4th, 2001 with briefings from the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.
The Committee will review its witness list in the new year with the intent of proceeding with panels of witnesses as it did with Bill C-5, An Act respecting the protection of wildlife species at risk in Canada.
To this end, the Committee would ask interested groups or individuals to please send their written requests to appear or their written submissions to the Clerk of the Committee by:
