MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 66

Tuesday, October 17, 2000

The Standing Committee on Transport met at 9:08 a.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, for the purpose of electing a Chair and two Vice-Chairs, pursuant to Standing Order 106(1) and (2).

Members of the Committee present: Gérard Asselin, Murray Calder, Bill Casey, Claude Drouin, Jim Gouk, Jay Hill, Charles Hubbard, Ovid Jackson, Stan Keyes, Lou Sekora, Brent St. Denis.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: John Christopher; June Dewetering, Researchers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 106(1) and (2), election of a Chair and Vice-Chairs.

The Clerk presided over the election of the Chair.

On motion of Lou Sekora, it was agreed, -- That Stan Keyes do take the Chair of this Committee.

Accordingly, Stan Keyes was declared duly elected Chair of the Committee and took the Chair.

On motion of Jim Gouk, it was agreed, -- That Jay Hill be elected Vice-chair of the Committee.

On motion of Claude Drouin, it was agreed, -- That Joe Comuzzi, in absentia, be elected Vice-chair of the Committee.

At 9:11 a.m., the Committee resumed its sitting in camera.

It was agreed, that all previous routine motions will prevail.

It was agreed, that the Committee be adjourned until next week.

At 9:32 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
