The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:37 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Wendy Lill,

Acting Member present: Reed Elly for Maurice Vellacott.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: William Young, Researcher.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Human Rights Commission: Michelle Falardeau-Ramsay, Chief Commissioner, Michel Paré, Director, Standards and Alternate Dispute Resolutions and Michael Small, Policy and Planning Officer

Pursuant to Standing Order Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (3) (c) Study of matters relating to the proposing, promoting, monitoring and assessing of initiatives aimed at the integration and equality of disabled persons in all sectors of Canadian Society: The Human Rights System and People with Disabilities

 

Michelle Falardeau-Ramsay made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses answered questions.

At 4:20 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
