The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Sarmite Bulte, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Sarmite Bulte, Richard Marceau, Alex Shepherd, Bob Speller.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Delegation of the European Commission in Canada: H.E. Danièle Smadja, Ambassador; Frank Deeg, Principal Adviser, Economic and Commercial Affairs. From Global Economics Ltd.: Patrick Grady, Consultant.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) the Sub-Committee resumed consideration of Canada's economic relations with Europe (See Minutes of Proceedings dated Wednesday, February 16, 2000, Meeting no. 6)
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
