In accordance with its Order of Reference of Friday, March 24, 2000, your Committee has considered Bill C-12, An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code (Part II) in respect of occupational health and safety, to make technical amendments to the Canada Labour Code (Part I) and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, and agreed on Tuesday, May 16, 2000, to report it with the following amendments: |
Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du vendredi 24 mars 2000, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-12, Loi modifiant la partie II du Code canadien du travail, portant sur la santé et la sécurité au travail, apportant des modifications matérielles à la partie I du Code canadien du travail et modifiant d'autres lois en conséquence, et a convenu le mardi 16 mai 2000, d'en faire rapport avec les amendements suivants: |

That Bill C-12, in Clause 2, be amended |

(a) by replacing lines 20 and 21 on page 1 with the following: |

"to cause injury or illness to a person exposed to it, including a woman who is pregnant or nursing and to the foetus of a pregnant woman, before the hazard or condition can be" |
