The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-72, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, to implement measures that are consequential on changes to the Canada-U.S. Tax Convention (1980) and to amend the Income Tax Conventions Interpretation Act, the Old Age Security Act, the War Veterans Allowance Act and certain Acts related to the Income Tax Act, as reported by the Standing Committee on Finance with amendments.

Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(11), the Order was read for the third reading of Bill C-72, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, to implement measures that are consequential on changes to the Canada-U.S. Tax Convention (1980) and to amend the Income Tax Conventions Interpretation Act, the Old Age Security Act, the War Veterans Allowance Act and certain Acts related to the Income Tax Act.

Introduction of Private Members' Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Sekora (Port Moody -- Coquitlam -- Port Coquitlam), seconded by Ms. Leung (Vancouver Kingsway), Bill C-511, An Act to establish a National Organ Donor Registry and to coordinate and promote organ donation throughout Canada, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

And of the amendment of Ms. Dalphond-Guiral (Laval Centre), seconded by Mr. Canuel (Matapédia -- Matane), -- That the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the word ``That'' and substituting the following:

    ``Bill C-68, An Act in respect of criminal justice for young persons and to amend and repeal other Acts, be not now read a second time but that the Order be discharged, the Bill withdrawn and the subject-matter thereof referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.''
