In accordance with its Order of Reference of Tuesday, March 17, 1998, your Committee has considered Bill C-19, An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code (Part 1) and the Corporations and Labour Unions Returns Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, and agreed on Thursday, April 30, 1998, to report it with the following amendment. |
Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du mardi 17 mars 1998, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-19, Loi modifiant le Code canadien du travail (partie 1), la Loi sur les déclarations des personnes morales et des syndicats et d’autres lois en conséquence, et a convenu le jeudi 30 avril 1998, d'en faire rapport avec l'amendement suivant : |

That Bill C-19, in Clause 50, be amended by replacing lines 12 to 14 on page 38 with the following: |
Que le projet de loi C-19, à l'article 50, soit modifié par substitution aux lignes 10 à 13, page 38, de ce qui suit : |
"(a) provide each employee with the opportunity to refuse the giving of their name and address to the representative of the trade union that the Board authorizes and, if the employee does not so refuse, may transmit that name and address to the authorized representative; or |
« être assurées autrement, le Conseil peut : a) soit fournir à tout employé l'occasion de refuser la transmission de son nom et de son adresse au représentant du syndicat qu'il autorise et, en l'absence d'un tel refus, tranmettre au représentant ces renseignements; |
(b) transmit the information that the union wishes to communicate to the employees in the manner it considers appropriate." |
