MINUTES OF PROCEEDING

Thursday, November 6, 1997

The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 12:37 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mark Assad, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Jim Jones, Gilles A. Perron, Karen Redman, Nelson Riis and Paul Szabo.

Acting Member present: Grant McNally for Monte Solberg.

Other Member present: John McKay.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Richard Domingue and Marion Wrobel, Research Officers.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its Pre-Budget Consultation Study. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday, October 15, 1997, Meeting No. 3).

The witnesses participating in the Round Table made statements and answered questions.

At 2:19 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
