HUITIÈME RAPPORT

In accordance with its Order of Reference of Friday, April 30, 1999, your Committee has considered Bill S-22, An Act authorizing the United States to preclear travellers and goods in Canada for entry into the United States for the purposes of customs, immigration, public health, food inspection and plant and animal health and agreed on Tuesday, May 25, 1999, to report it without amendment.

Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du vendredi 30 avril 1999, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi S-22, Loi autorisant les États-Unis à effectuer au Canada le précontrôle en matière de douane, d'immigration, de santé publique, d'inspection des aliments et de santé des plantes et des animaux à l'égard des voyageurs et des marchandises à destination des États-Unis, et a convenu, le mardi 25 mai 1999, d'en faire rapport sans amendement.
