The House resumed debate on the motion of Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Massé (President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada), — That Bill C–9, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.
The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs of Bill C–8, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Coastal Fisheries Protection Act (force).
Mr. Rock (Minister of Justice), seconded by Mr. Robichaud (Secretary of State (Parliamentary Affairs)), moved, — That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs.
