Tabling of Documents

Pursuant to Standing Order 79(3), the Speaker read a message from His Excellency the Governor General, presented by Mr. Eggleton (President of the Treasury Board).

Message on Estimates

    His Excellency the Governor General transmits to the House of Commons Supplementary Estimates (D) of sums required for the service of Canada for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 1995, and, in accordance with section 54 of the Constitution Act, 1867, recommends these Estimates to the House of Commons.

Accordingly, the document entitled ``Supplementary Estimates (D), 1994-95'' was laid upon the Table. -- Sessional Paper No. 8520-351-164.

Motions

Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Gagliano (Secretary of State (Parliamentary Affairs) and Deputy Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.

The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Speaker (Lethbridge), seconded by Mr. Hoeppner (Lisgar -- Marquette), -- That Bill C-262, An Act to provide for the settlement of labour disputes affecting the export of grain by arbitration and to amend the Public Service Staff Relations Act in consequence thereof, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food.

The debate continued.
