Introduction of Government Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. LeBlanc (Minister of Intergovernmental and Northern Affairs and Internal Trade), seconded by Mr. Sohi (Minister of Natural Resources), Bill C-88, An Act to amend the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act and the Canada Petroleum Resources Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Presenting Reports from Committees

Mr. Easter (Malpeque), from the Standing Committee on Finance, presented the 24th Report of the Committee, "Confronting Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing: Moving Canada Forward". — Sessional Paper No. 8510-421-468.

Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee requested that the government table a comprehensive response.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
