Members of Parliament travel in Canada and abroad to study issues related to the work of their committee. A committee must obtain the necessary travel funds and the permission of the House to travel. It may seek approval of the House to conduct one or more travel activity per study. Committee Travel Expenditures Reports disclose travel expenses, by travel activity, broken down by individual or group. These reports are published within 60 days after the end of the quarter in which a committee travelled and incurred related expenses.
