The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in the Muskoka 1 - 2, Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel, Toronto, Ontario, the Chair, Andrew Telegdi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Inky Mark, Hon. Andrew Telegdi and Lui Temelkovski.

 

Associate Members present: Nina Grewal.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Benjamin Dolin, Analyst. House of Commons: Jean-Philippe Brochu, Committee Clerk.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study of Recognition of the International Experience and Credentials of Immigrants.
 

Mary Anne V. Chambers made a statement and, with Patti Redmond answered questions.

 

At 10:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:05 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study on Citizenship Issues.
 

Panel I. Citizenship

 

Oksana Miroutenko, John William Pidkowich, Alexi Nicole Wood, Charles William Esser and Josie Di Zio made statements and, with Motek W. Sherman answered questions.

 

At 10:32 a.m., Lui Temelkovski took the Chair.

 

At 11:20 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:30 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Panel II.

 

Louis R. Béliveau, Ezat Mossallanejad, Keith Frank, Marie Chen and Christine Li made statements and, with Berto Volpentesta and Nkiru Agbakwa, answered questions.
