Tuesday, November 27, 2001

The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources met at 4:05 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Raymond Bonin, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Gérard Binet, Raymond Bonin, Serge Cardin, David Chatters, John Finlay, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Benoît Serré.

Acting Members present: Paddy Torsney for Guy St-Julien, Joe Comartin for Pat Martin, Jim Pankiw for Gerald Keddy.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Mary Hurley, researchers.

Witnesses: From the Department of Natural Resources: Bruce Holden, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services Sector; Ric Cameron, Assistant Deputy Minister, Energy Sector; Sue Kirby, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Energy Sector; Robert Lomas, Senior Associate Policy Advisor, Minerals & Metals Sector.

ORDERED, - That the Supplementary Estimates (A), for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2002: VOTES 1a, 5a, 10a, 15a, 20a, 25a and 30a under NATURAL RESOURCES, and Vote 41a under the Privy Council laid upon the table on November 1, 2001 be referred to the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs, Northern Development and Natural Resources. It was agreed, - That the Chair report the Votes to the House without amendment.
