The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 11:17 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Bonnie Brown, Paul Crête, Libby Davies, Jean Dubé, Raymonde Folco, Christiane Gagnon, Dale Johnston, Judi Longfield, Larry McCormick, Rey Pagtakhan, Andy Scott, Maurice Vellacott and Bryon Wilfert.
Acting Member(s) present: Bernard Bigras for Stéphan Tremblay.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witness(es): From the Department of Human Resources Development Canada: Claire Morris, Deputy Minister; Danielle Vincent, Assistant Deputy Minister, HRCC Quebec Region; Suzette Perreault, Director General, Centreville (Montreal).
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), study of HRDC Grants and Contributions.
Claire Morris and Danielle Vincent made a statement and with the other witness answered questions.
At 12:35 p.m. the sitting was suspended.
At 12:39 p.m. the Committee proceeded to sit in camera to discuss its future business.
At 1:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
