The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 11:06 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Member(s) of the Committee present: Diane Ablonczy, Peter Adams, Bonnie Brown, Paul Crête, Libby Davies, Jean Dubé, Raymonde Folco, Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey, Dale Johnston, Judi Longfield, Larry McCormick, Rey Pagtakhan, Judy Sgro, Maurice Vellacott and Bryon Wilfert.

Acting Member(s) present: Jean-Guy Chrétien for Stéphan Tremblay.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr and Bill Young, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), study of HRDC Grants and Contributions.

John M. Reid, Christiane Ouimet, Janice Remai and Tim Dugas made an opening statement and with the other witnesses answered questions.

It was agreed, - That documents produced by the Treasury Board of Canada February 14th and 17th 2000 on releasing of review, audit and evaluation reports and that the Information Commissioner's response to the Committee on this subject be filed as an exhibit with the Clerk of the Committee.

At 1:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
