A meeting of the Working Group on the LTVP and the Centre Block Rehabilitation was held in camera in Room 025-B, West Block at 1:04 p.m.

In the Chair: Chris d’Entremont, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons

Present: Hon. Steven MacKinnon, Mark Gerretsen, Ruby Sahota, Kelly Block, Martin Shields, Louis Plamondon and Carol Hughes

Also Present: Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration; Stephan Aubé, Chief Information Officer; Rob Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch; Jennifer Garrett, Director General, Centre Block Program, Public Services and Procurement Canada; Rocque Gameiro, Director General Public Services and Procurement Canada; Ismail Albaidhani, Senior Advisor, Office of the Clerk and Secretariat and Carine Grand-Jean, Senior Administrative Assistant of Office of the Clerk and Secretariat

LTVP UPDATE – UNDERGROUND NETWORK CONCEPT

Rob Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch, Public Services and Procurement Canada, presented the proposed options for underground network concept and, with Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration, answered questions.

It was agreed, – That a presentation about the preferred option determined by the Working Group for an underground tunnel be prepared for the joint meeting with the Senate subcommittee.

CENTRE BLOCK REHABILITATION STATUS UPDATE

Rob Wright presented a briefing on the Centre Block and Parliament Welcome Centre and, Michel Patrice, with Jennifer Garrett, Director General, Centre Block Program, Public Services and Procurement Canada, answered questions.

WORKING GROUP RECAPITULATION

Michel Patrice made a recapitulation of the activities of the Working Group. He also presented a proposal for an enhanced communication plan of the Working Group to engage for Members of Parliament.

It was agreed, – That a joint meeting be held with the Senate Subcommittee on Long Term Vision and Plan.

At 2:16 p.m., the meeting was adjourned.
