Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of the thalidomide survivors contribution program.

Martin Johnson by videoconference from St Ivres, United Kingdom, Neil Vargesson by videoconference from Aberdeen, United Kingdom, Michael Mooney and Cindy Moriarty made statements and, with Brenda Weiss and Theressa Bagnall, answered questions.

At 1:07 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the draft workplan for a study of Bill C-211, An Act respecting a federal framework on post-traumatic stress disorder, be adopted.

At 1:09 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
