Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 1, 2018, the Committee commenced its study of the support of Indigenous Canadians in the agriculture and agri-food industry.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 9:46 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:52 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 and Wednesday, January 31, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of advancements of technology and research in the agriculture industry that can support Canadian exports.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Advancements of technology and research in the agricutlure and agri-food sector that can support Canadian exports".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12 point font, left aligned, single line spacing and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the Committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 30,100, for the study of the support of Indigenous Canadians in the agriculture and agri-food industry, be adopted.

At 10:28 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
