Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Friday, September 23, 2022, the subcommittee resumed its study of the rights and freedoms of women globally and of women in Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The subcommittee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Rights and Freedoms of Women and Girls Globally, and in Afghanistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the subcommittee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the violations of human rights driving migration in Central and South America, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 107,540.13, for the subcommittee’s travel to United States and Colombia in the fall of 2023, be adopted.

At 3:04 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
