Election of Chair
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the subcommittee presided over the election of a chair.

On motion of Anita Vandenbeld, it was agreed, — That Sameer Zuberi be elected Chair of the subcommittee.

At 6:37 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:42 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 26,600.00, for the study of Recognition of International Human Rights Champions, be adopted.

Human Rights in Repressive States: The Situation of Human Rights Defenders, Journalists and Media Organizations
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Monday, February 14, 2022, the subcommittee resumed its study of Human Rights in Repressive States: The Situation of Human Rights Defenders, Journalists and Media Organizations.

The subcommittee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 8:17 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
