Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of government measures to protect and promote French in Quebec and in Canada.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analyst for a draft report.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, 10 minutes be given to officials of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration for their opening statement during their appearance in relation to the study of Francophone immigration to Canada and Quebec.

At 4:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee commenced its study of Francophone immigration to Canada and Quebec.

Corinne Prince made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
