Pursuant to the order of reference of Thursday, December 9, 2021, the committee commenced consideration of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Canada Labour Code.

The Chair called Clause 1.

At 11:25 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The minister made a statement and, with Sandra Hassan and Laurie Wright, answered questions.

At 12:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The witnesses answered questions.

It was agreed, — That, in context of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Canada Labour Code, the deadline for the submission of amendments to the clerk of the committee be no later than Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. (EST).

It was agreed, — That the committee commence clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Canada Labour Code, on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. (EST).

At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
