The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 11:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:55 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $1200 to allow for in-person witnesses for the study of differential outcomes in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada decisions, be adopted.

ORDERED, — That in relation to the production order adopted on Thursday, February 17, 2022, the Chair be instructed to send a letter to Immigration and Refugees Canada to request that the Department provide all unredacted and bilingual documents to the committee via the clerk for final redaction by the Office of the Law Clerk by Monday, May 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at the latest.

ORDERED, — The clerk be instructed to draft a report for the committee’s consideration should the requested unredacted and bilingual documents not arrive by the deadline of Monday, May 2, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

ORDERED, — The Chair be instructed to send a letter of reply to the Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project.

ORDERED, — That in relation to the study of application backlog and processing times, the Chair be instructed to prepare the proposed preliminary submission for the committee’s travel to the United Arab Emirates and Senegal in October 2022.

At 1:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
