Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $4,100, for the study of elder abuse, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, the committee resumed its study of elder abuse.

Patrick Fleming, Hai Luo, Tehmina Naveed and Mathieu Robitaille made statements and answered questions.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:05 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Marilee Nowgesic, Michael Villeneuve and Miranda Ferrier made statements and answered questions.

At 1:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:09 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the committee further discuss the recommendations at its meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 27, 2021.

At 1:28 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
