Pursuant to Standing Order 106(4), the committee commenced consideration of the request by four members of the committee to undertake a study of Ministers' Spending Priorities.

On motion of Todd Doherty, it was agreed, — That the committee immediately undertake a study on spending priorities of Transport Canada and Infrastructure Canada, and that the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Infrastructure and communities each appear for one hour, separately, in the context of this study today.

At 11:03 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

The Minister of Transport, by videoconference from Montréal, Quebec, made a statement and, with Michael Keenan, by videoconference from Ottawa, Ontario, answered questions.

At 11:20 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:30 a.m., the sitting resumed.

At 12:10 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, by videoconference from Ottawa, Ontario, made a statement and, with Kelly Gillis, by videoconference from Ottawa, Ontario, answered questions.

At 1:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
