The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, October 4, 2018, the Committee consider the draft report in relation to the study of French and English as a second-language programs.

It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, the Committee consider the draft report in relation to the study of the issues related to French-language training in the field of nursing in Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite, before the end of October, the Commissioner of Official Languages in relation to his Annual Report 2017-18.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the motion adopted on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, the Committee invite the Canada Lands Company, the President of the Treasury Board and the Minister of Public Services and Procurement and Accessibility to appear before the end of October.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie appear on Thursday, November 1, 2018, in relation to the study of the Action Plan for Official Languages 2018-23: Investing in Our Future.

It was agreed, — That the Analyst prepare a draft report on the Committee's travel to Whitehorse, Yukon, Vancouver, British Columbia and Regina, Saskatchewan, from September 24 to 27, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Committee begin a study on the modernization of the Official Languages Act in November .

At 10:01 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
