Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, March 6, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of indigenous people in the correctional system.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:20 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Ninth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in as amended:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the meetings of November 30 and those of December 5, 7 and 12, 2017, be dedicated to the study of Bill C-59, An Act respecting national security matters; and that the Clerk be instructed to make all efforts for meetings related to the study of Bill C-59 to be televised.

2. That in relation to its study of Bill C-59, An Act respecting national security matters, members of the Committee submit their initial witness list no later than end of day Friday November 24, 2017.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $4,600, for the study of the use of ion mobility spectrometers by Correctional Service Canada, be adopted.

At 10:48 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
