The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Subcommittee write a letter to the Speaker of the House of Commons regarding the upcoming reception to be co-hosted by the Speaker to honour the witnesses of the upcoming study of the recognition of human rights champions.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 8,600, for the study of the recognition of international human rights champions, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 800, for a briefing on the human rights situation of the Roma, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 2,500, for the briefing on the humans rights situation in Sri Lanka, be adopted.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the Subcommittee's routine motion on the distribution of documents, adopted on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, the Clerk be authorized to distribute the proposed corrections to the women human rights defenders report for consideration by Members, to be followed by the French version when it becomes available.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the Subcommittee resumed its study of women human rights defenders.

The Subcommittee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the Chair be authorized to write to all Standing Committees of the House of Commons informing them of the Subcommittee's study of women human rights defenders and the related report.

At 2:01 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
