Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of strategic electricity inter-ties.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Strategic Electricity Interties".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be single spaced, left aligned and in Calibri 12 point font; that the titles be in Cambria 14 point font; and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, not later than 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

It was agreed, — That an electronic copy of the report be sent to all Members of Parliament and witnesses, and that a hard copy of the report be sent to Committee members.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a study of no less than four meetings to study the current state and future of national energy data, to consider:

  1. the benefits of national energy data;
  2. the users of national energy data, their needs and if these are being met;
  3. potential gaps in the energy data that is currently available; and
  4. the best practices for managing, acquiring and sharing energy data.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Committee’s study of secondary supply chain products in the forestry sector in Canada, Members submit to the Clerk of the Committee their prioritized list of additional suggested witnesses, no later than Friday, December 15, 2017.

At 4:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
