The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee study and develop recommendations needed to protect the Canadian forestry sector from the spread of forest pests, including the Mountain Pine Beetle and the Spruce Budworm; that the Committee hear from witnesses for four meetings, and report back to the House, proposing solutions to curb the spread of these pests.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of protection of the Canadian forestry sector from the spread of forest pests, each party send a list of witnesses, by priority, including their contact information to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertake a study of the economic opportunities for energy efficiency in Canada, and its contributions to the Canadian Paris Climate Change commitments; that the study comprise no fewer than 8 meetings, and that the Committee report the study to the House for consideration and response from the Government.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the economic opportunities for energy efficiency in Canada, and its contributions to the Canadian Paris Climate Change commitments, each party send a list of witnesses, by priority, including their contact information to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018.

At 10:11 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
