Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2017-18: Vote 1 under Canada Post Corporation, Vote 1 under Canada School of Public Service, Vote 1 under Canadian Intergovernmental Conference Secretariat, Vote 1 under Canadian Transportation Accident Investigation and Safety Board, Votes 1 and 5 under Department of Public Works and Government Services, Vote 1 under Office of the Governor General's Secretary, Vote 1 under Office of the Public Sector Integrity Commissioner, Vote 1 under Privy Council Office, Vote 1 under Public Service Commission, Vote 1 under Senate, Votes 1 and 5 under Shared Services Canada, Votes 1, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 33 under Treasury Board Secretariat, referred to the Committee on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

Marie Lemay and Ron Parker made statements and, with Les Linklater, Marty Muldoon, Lisa Campbell and John A. Glowacki Jr., answered questions.

Kelly McCauley gave notice of the following motion:

That the meeting on Thursday, June 15, 2017, be dedicated to develop a work plan for the Committee’s study of the Federal Government’s procurement process, which includes the vessels for the Canadian Coast Guard, the National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy, and the proposed acquisition of eighteen (18) Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet.

At 10:28 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:31 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Eighth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the Committee undertake a study of the subject matter of clauses 113 to 114 (Division 4 of Part 4) of Bill C-44, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2017, and other measures; that the Committee dedicate one (1) hour to the study at the meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2017; and that Officials from Shared Services Canada be invited to appear at the meeting.

2. That the meeting on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, and one (1) hour at the meeting on Thursday, June 8, 2017, be dedicated to consider the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2017-18.

3. That the second hour of the meeting on Thursday, June 8, 2017, be dedicated to consider the draft report in relation to the review of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act.

4. That the Committee resume its study of the estimates process on Tuesday, June 13, 2017; and that witnesses, such as the Parliamentary Budget Officer and Officials from the Treasury Board Secretariat, be invited to appear at the meeting.
