It was agreed, — That, on Thursdays, the Committee sit from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
It was agreed, — That the Committee invite Statistics Canada to explain the situation and provide solutions in response to the anomalies observed in the 2016 census count for linguistic minorities.
It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, September 21, 2017, the Committee meet in camera to consider Committee Business.
It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, the Committee consider the draft report in relation to its study of Air Canada's Implementation of the Official Languages Act.
It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, the Committee invite officials from Statistics Canada to appear in relation to the Government response to its report on the study of the issues related to the enumeration of rights-holders under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and in relation to its study of the 2016 Census language data: overestimation of the growth of English in Quebec.
It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, October 5, 2017, the Committee consider the draft report in relation to its study of the full implementation of the Official Languages Act in the Canadian justice system.
At 4:23 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:29 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.
On motion of René Arseneault, it was agreed, — That Alupa A. Clarke be elected First Vice-Chair of the Committee.
At 4:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
