Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of counselling and other mental health supports for jurors.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:24 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 31,500, for the study of counselling and other mental health supports for jurors, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2017-18, the Committee invite the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada to appear at her earliest convenience.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
