Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, October 26, 2016, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill S-201, An Act to prohibit and prevent genetic discrimination.

Laurie Wright and Laurie Sargent answered questions.

At 11:17 a.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for fifteen (15) minutes after the bells begin to ring.

At 11:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Bev Heim-Myers, Noah Shack, Richard Marceau and Clare Gibbons made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference on the Rule of Law and Human Rights, the proposed budget in the amount of $17,845.81, for the Committee’s travel to London, United Kingdom, in January 2017, be adopted.

At 1:01 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
