Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, November 21, 2016, the Committee commenced its study of the visit by the Premier of the Northwest Territories.

Hon. Robert R. McLeod and Hon. Wally Schumann made statements and, with Hon. Robert C. McLeod, Hon. Caroline Cochrane, Hon. Louis Sebert, Hon. Alfred Moses, Hon. Glen Abernethy and Hon. Wally Schumann, answered questions.

At 4:03 p.m., Earl Dreeshen took the Chair.

At 4:09 p.m., Dan Ruimy took the Chair.

At 4:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Alex Nuttall gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee invite the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne, to appear before the Committee to speak about how the Green Energy Act has affected the manufacturing sector in Ontario.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the testimony provided by the Premier be included as part of the Committee's upcoming study on the extension and improvement of Broadband connectivity for rural communities.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on March 10, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the manufacturing sector.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
