Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on March 10, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the manufacturing sector.

Pearl Sullivan and Leah Olson made statements and answered questions.

Ben Lobb gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee suspend its study of the manufacturing sector and begin a study on the independence of Statistics Canada.

At 4:25 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:27 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 5:14 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:17 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
