Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, the Committee resumed its study on net neutrality.

At 10:19 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:26 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pam Dinsmore, Dennis Béland, Bob Malcolmson, Ted Woodhead and Michael Guerriere made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Towards Privacy by Design: Review of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ".

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the analysts and the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of privacy implications of implementing digital government services in Canada, members of the Committee submit their prioritized witness lists to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018.

At 10:34 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
