Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 1, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of migration challenges and opportunities for Canada in the 21st century.

Tanya Basok, by videoconference from Windsor, Ontario, and Sofía Martínez Fernández, by videoconference from New York, New York, made statements.

At 4:00 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

Bernard Duhaime made a statement.

At 4:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:53 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pouyan Tabasinejad, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, Mahdi Yousefi Koopaei, by videoconference from Calgary, Alberta, and Kate Hooper, by videoconference from Los Angeles, California, made statements and answered questions.

At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
