Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 29, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of remuneration models for artists and creative industries.

Erin Finlay, Stephen Stohn and Neal McDougall, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, made statements.

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Motion

Pierre Nantel moved, — That the Committee proceed to questions and comments.

The question was put on the motion and it was negatived, by a show of hands: YEAS: 4; NAYS: 5.

At 12:08 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:11 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, October 4, 2018, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-376, An Act to designate the month of April as Sikh Heritage Month.

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1, Short Title, and of the Preamble was postponed.

The Chair called Clause 2.

Clause 2 carried.

The Preamble carried.

Clause 1, Short Title, carried.

The Title carried.

The Bill carried.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report the Bill to the House.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, June 6, 2018, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-391, An Act respecting a national strategy for the repatriation of Aboriginal cultural property.

The Committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1, Short Title, was postponed.

The Chair called Clause 2.

Wayne Long moved, — That Bill C-391, in Clause 2, be amended by replacing lines 6 to 11 on page 1 with the following:

“2 In this Act, Minister means the Minister of Canadian Heritage.”

Debate arose thereon.

At 12:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:33 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Motion

Randy Boissonnault moved, — That the Committee do now adjourn.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 0.

At 12:51 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
