It was agreed, — That the Fourth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the Committee undertake a study on the Main Estimates 2017-18, and invite the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to appear, subject to his availability, in May 2017.

2. That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Thursday, February 16, 2017, the meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, be devoted to the Committee’s study of the PMRA's decision regarding the Neonicotinoid pesticide Imidacloprid.

3. That the meetings of Thursday, March 23, and Tuesday, April 4, 2017, be set aside for the study of Amendments to Health of Animals Regulations (Humane Transportation).

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the PMRA’s decision concerning the Neonicotinoid insecticide Imidacloprid, the Committee send a letter to the Minister of Health, with a copy to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, by Thursday, March 23, 2017.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to the motion adopted on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, the Committee begin its study on debt in the agriculture sector and its effects on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

It was agreed, — That, during the meeting on Thursday, April 6, 2017, the Committee invite officials from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to provide a briefing on lentil exports to India and the relevant issues including fumigation.
