The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: David Christopherson, Kevin Lamoureux, Alexandrine Latendresse, Tom Lukiwski, Dave MacKenzie, Ted Opitz, Joe Preston, Scott Reid, Blake Richards and Craig Scott.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Andre Barnes, Analyst; Martha Butler, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, September 25, 2014, the Committee resumed consideration of the question of privilege relating to the free movement of Members within the Parliamentary Precinct.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(viii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, the Committee resumed its review of the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons.
 

It was agreed, — That the Evidence received in camera on Thursday, June 7, 2012, during the First Session of the 41st Parliament, from the Clerk of the House of Commons and the Deputy Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel, be taken into consideration by the Committee in this Session for the purpose of its review of the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons; that a paper copy of the Evidence be distributed to the members of the Committee; and that the said document remain confidential.

 

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the routine motions adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, in relation to document distribution and transcripts of in camera meetings, a paper copy of the Evidence from the in camera meeting of the Committee held on Thursday, June 7, 2012, be distributed to all Committee Members in its original version.

 

At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
