The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 8:46 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Diane Ablonczy, Mark Adler, Jay Aspin, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Anne-Marie Day, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Jim Hillyer, Pat Martin, Hon. Gordon O'Connor and Bernard Trottier.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: André Léonard, Analyst ; Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Corinne Charette, Chief Information Officer of the Government of Canada; Sylvain Latour, Director, Open Government Secretariat; Stephen Walker, Senior Director, Information Management Strategies, Chief Information Officer Branch.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c)(ii), the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the Government's open data practices.

Corinne Charette made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:35 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:38 a.m., the sitting resumed.
