[Translation]

Welcome to the 37th meeting of the Standing Committee on Official Languages on this Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
We are meeting in public in order to elect a vice-chair.
I will now hand the floor over to Mr. Gourde.
I nominate Jamie Nicholls for the position of vice-chair of the Standing Committee on Official Languages.

[English]

We have a motion on the floor.
Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?
Seeing no dissenting opinions, the motion is adopted.
    (Motion agreed to)
    The Chair: I thank you—

[Translation]

    Ms. St-Denis didn't understand that.
     I missed what was said.
The committee received a motion to elect Mr. Nicholls vice-chair of the committee. Mr. Godin resigned from the committee.
Very well. If he so wishes.
     I declare the motion carried.
It's already gone through? My apologies.

[English]

    Okay.
Thank you very much. We are going to pause for a minute so we can go in camera for the consideration of our draft report.
    [Proceedings continue in camera]
